Biotechnology

The Center for Advanced Technology in Life Science Enterprise develops and transfers basic new technologies and applications in bioprocess engineering, cellular regulation, gene control and expression, plant and animal molecular biology, and bioremediation, among other activities.

Nanobiotechnology

Cornell's Nanobiotechnology Center (NBTC) Industrial Partnership Program enables companies to collaborate on research and development projects as well as receive a number of related benefits. Partner companies receive a window to exciting developments of NBTC faculty working in interdisciplinary collaborative groups who are pushing the frontiers of nanofabrication as it applies to biological systems. Human Resources

Workplace Strategies

The International Workplace Studies Program (IWSP) is an international leader in the study of innovative workplace strategies. Working with companies such as IBM, Hewlett Packard, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, and Toyota Motor Sales, the IWSP examines the ways in which the planning, design, and management of the workplace affects five critical organizational objectives: 1) reduce the cost of doing business; 2) improve the quality of products and services and the speed with which these are brought to market; 3) attract and retain the best-qualified staff; 4) exploit information technologies; 5) enhance flexibility and the ability to manage uncertainty and risk.

Manufacturing

The Center for Manufacturing Enterprise (CME) coordinates Cornell's cross-disciplinary efforts to develop and disseminate, through education, research, and outreach, better methods of employing people and technology to manufacture products for the twenty-first century. Advanced Information Technologies and HPC

The Cornell University Center for Advanced Computing (CAC) is a leader in high-performance computing system, application, and data solutions. Our mission is to enable your success - whether it's reducing time-to-insight, developing better products faster, or deploying cyberinfrastructure to deliver data fast. The center operates more than 2,000 processors in Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X configurations. Our technical staff has extensive experience and expertise in HPC systems and storage; application porting, tuning, and optimization; database systems; computer programming; and, Web portal services design. Food Science

The Cornell Institute of Food Science is an outstanding multidisciplinary team of faculty whose primary appointments are in the Departments of Food Science & Technology (Geneva), Food Science (Ithaca), Animal Science, Agricultural and Biological Engineering, Fruit and Vegetable Science, Psychology, in addition to Applied Economics and Management, the Division of Nutritional Sciences, and the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and the School of Hotel Administration. The Institute offers the Cornell Associates Program for industry members who wish to interact with a wide array of Cornell food engineers, nutritionists, microbiologists, chemists and biochemists, food technologists, physiologists, and other scientists in food-related disciplines. Polymer Outreach Program

At the core of the Polymer Outreach Program is collaborate research between faculty and industry scientists. Company membership includes laboratory space for working with Cornell research groups, access to the Cornell Center for Materials Research, potential coupling to other outstanding facility resources and other advantages.

Nanotechnology

The Cornell National Nanofabrication Facility is a service-oriented user facility with all the equipment required for the microfabrication, or nanofabrication, of complex structures, from design, patterning and processing to testing of the finished product. Its programs range from microelectronics to integrated optoelectronics, including research in silicon-based and compound semiconductors.

Hospitality

Recognized in the hospitality field as the world's leading partnership between academia and the hospitality industry and housed in the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, The Center for Hospitality Research brings together the best insights of scholarship in hospitality with industry expertise. Faculty research is augmented by an industry perspective from the Center's advisory board and 47 corporate sponsors. Cornell Center for the Environment

The Center for the Environment (CfE) is a Cornell-wide unit, which specializes in crafting interdisciplinary collaborations among scientists and professors from Cornell and partnering organizations to apply new knowledge and solutions to environmental problems and needs around the world.  The Center partners with the private sector in research projects, initiatives and activities. It also acts as a gateway to Cornell faculty and experts for organizations looking for partners and specific expertise in the environmental field.
